TEIDE NATIONAL PARK
Summary
Teide National Park is a natural gem located in the centre of Tenerife, and one of the most visited national parks in Spain. Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2007, its main attraction is Teide, a volcano that, at 3,718 metres, is the highest mountain in Spain and the third largest volcano in the world, rising from its base at the bottom of the ocean.
Extraordinary landscapes, with craters, rivers of petrified lava and rock formations that seem from another planet. And rich biodiversity, with endemic species of flora and fauna.
The Teide cable car allows visitors to ascend close to the top of the volcano, where they can enjoy impressive panoramic views. For the more adventurous, there are hiking trails that allow you to explore the park on foot.
